What's up?

On March 7th, Jess and I went with the scouts to make Snow Caves up at Mount Rainier. The kids spend a lot of the day making their caves but the weather just kept getting worse. The wind and snow made it not the best conditions so we decided to not spend the night. I also pulled a muscle in my hip before going up so I was glad I didn't have to sleep on the snow. I have been trying to rehab a bit this week in addition to studying for the PMP cert test. The test is April 4th and won't have much free time until after that is over with.

Last Weekend, nephews, Henry and Max spent the night at our house for the weekend. We played Glow Golf, ate lunch out at Zoopa and then played a lot of hide and go seek and video games.

Next Weekend is the Pinewood Derby so we are getting our cars ready this week. Not sure if we are going to make it in time.

PTA Focus Day

I went to the PTA rally in Olympia on Thursday to try and bring more attention to the education bills in the current session. My rep. Skip Priest is the minority chair of the education committee and one of the authors of the Basic Education Task Force Report. The bills that come from the task force could radically change how education is funded in this state. Skip took the FW folks and talked to us on the floor which was really cool.

On Friday, Jess and I were on staff at Webelos Weekend which was pretty fun. I left early on Saturday and Meg and I went to the Stoutpounders at Doyles. We had a great time although we didn't know anyone except for the band. On Sunday, Meg bought new furniture for our front room. We need to get rid of the old stuff before the new stuff is delivered on Friday.
